Stone Roofing

Building and renovating stone roofs uses many specialised skills which are becoming increasingly rare.

Stone roofs are typically laid in diminishing courses towards the apex of the roof. This requires specialist skills and experience of setting out diminishing courses, dressing the stone slates to the course and fixing them using aluminium pegs. These are all skills that we use frequently in the renovation of stone roofs.

We also have considerable experience of acquiring stone slates for re-use and a good knowledge of the market and local sources.
